It turns out that in our country, you can indeed not be, but seem, for a very affordable price. We’re talking about renowned Bentley, Porsche, and Maserati with mileage that can actually be bought for the price of ‘fresh’ budget cars like a Renault Logan and the like.
TopGir compiled a small ranking of ‘cool’ cars designed for those who want to appear much wealthier than they actually are. In simple terms, these options would be just perfect for those who, when asked ‘What car do you have?’, want to answer (with their heads tilted back) that they have a ‘Porsche’ or ‘Maserati’.

Let’s start with the latter. It seems that Maserati passenger models are among those luxury cars that depreciate more than former escorts who became ‘night butterflies’ on the highway. If once (15 years ago) the Quattroporte cost 100 or even 150 thousand dollars, now you can find options for 15 and even 10 thousand dollars! And we emphasize, we’re talking about customs-cleared units.

Another sedan for the rich and powerful, which the ‘poor’ can afford nowadays, is the mid-2000s Bentley Flying Spur. In Ukraine, you can easily find a still quite viable car from this legendary British brand for the price of a new Renault Logan or a base Duster. 15-20 thousand dollars is a completely realistic price. And honestly, it seems that the seller might even ‘treat’ themselves if you buy their ‘dream on wheels’.

The mid-2000s Porsche Cayenne is also a dream car that its owners very much want to get rid of. After all, maintaining such a premium crossover is not cheap, but theoretically, there will always be someone who wants to feel almost like an oligarch. And the cost of the question is more than affordable—around 10,000 dollars, with some even available for 7-8.

Another crossover you can buy for less than $10k is, of course, the early 2000s Range Rover. And never mind that just the air suspension will cost almost a thousand dollars—at least you’ll look rich. By the way, there are non-customs-cleared car options that can be bought for even one and a half to two (!) thousand dollars.
If that’s too expensive, there are S-Class options in the 220 body for 6-8 thousand dollars. Yes, it’s already old, but it’s still an ‘S-Class’ (especially if you say it out loud in conversation). If you stretch a bit, you can find an S-Class in the 221 body for over 10. And for gourmets, there are luxury coupes from the same ‘opera’.

And finally, for those ‘originals’ who want something other than ‘newfangled junk’, there’s Mazda RX-8. This Japanese sports car is good all around and still looks quite decent, though because of the rotary engine (which often becomes the main problem), prices for such a car are slightly higher than for a Zhiguli— from 3 to 6 thousand dollars. Of course, there are more expensive ones, but that’s more about the owners’ imaginations than the car itself.
