In the 35 years after the Chernobyl disaster, the Chernobyl exclusion zone has transformed from a strictly guarded area to a popular tourist attraction. Now, various shows are filmed there, and occasionally even exclusive supercars appear.
More precisely, it is about the McLaren 650S Spider supercar, which even received a special Chernobyl-edition tuning. It turned out to be very original. By the way, this car was recently put up for sale.
However, the most expensive car spotted in Chernobyl is not it, but the Dartz Kombat SUV. More precisely, there were two of such cars brought there for filming a movie. Chernobyl is a popular location for filming movies and music videos. At different times, Olga Kurylenko and the bands Pink Floyd and Suede have been there.
Also, one of the episodes of Top Gear was filmed in Chernobyl – in 2013, Clarkson, Hammond, and May held a car run across Ukraine and also visited the exclusion zone. However, they did not arrive there in supercars, but in B-class hatchbacks.
By the way, it’s not just about cars – yesterday an Embraer 195 liner flew at low altitude over Chernobyl. To mark the anniversary of the tragedy, UIA organized a flight tour to Chernobyl. For 2970 UAH, everyone had the opportunity to see Pripyat and the exclusion zone from a bird’s eye view.
