The new Cabinet of Ministers under Shmyhal has already begun fulfilling its duties. Naturally, the newly appointed ministers have already published their electronic declarations, allowing us to examine their cars. Some members of the government have quite interesting car collections, and in general, they have declared more vehicles, than their predecessors.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal
The head of the government did not declare any cars, but his wife owns a 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Reintegration Oleksii Reznikov
Oleksii Reznikov has a nice garage – a 2012 Audi A8, a 2009 Volkswagen Amarok pickup, and a 2003 Porsche Boxster.
He also owns a Kawasaki Teryx UTV buggy, a Kawasaki Brute Force ATV, and a Tiki-Trailer. Additionally, the declaration includes a Mini Cooper Countryman belonging to Yuliya Zorii, whom the Deputy Prime Minister lives with.
Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Chernyshov
Oleksii Chernyshov also has a sizable car collection. He owns a 2018 Range Rover Autobiography and a 2010 Mercedes-Benz S500 4Matic, while his wife owns another 2010 Range Rover and a Skoda Octavia A5.
Minister of Defense Andrii Taran
The head of the Ministry of Defense declared a 2013 Buick LaCrosse, while his wife owns a 2007 Infiniti G35 and a 2001 Mercedes A170.
Minister of Youth and Sports Vadym Gutzeit
Vadym Gutzeit owns a 2017 Toyota Corolla and uses a 2015 Mercedes ML250 for free, while a 2016 Lexus RX200T is registered to his wife.
Minister of Social Policy Maryna Lazebna
The only woman in the current government declared her husband’s 2017 Audi Q7 and her son’s 2017 Lexus RX200T.
Minister for Veterans Affairs Serhiy Bessarab
Serhiy Bessarab declared his 2007 Toyota Camry sedan and his wife’s 2008 Mitsubishi Pajero.
Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchinov
In Oleh Nemchinov’s declaration – a 2012 Chevrolet Volt hybrid and a 1979 Zaporozhets ZAZ 968A, which he co-owns with his mother.
Minister of Finance Ihor Umansky
The head of the Ministry of Finance declared a 2010 Mercedes-Benz S500L 4Matic, registered to his wife.
Minister of Justice Denys Maliuska
Denys Maliuska jointly owns a 2008 Mazda 5 minivan with his wife.
Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy
Vladyslav Krykliy owns a compact 2017 Smart Fortwo.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba
Dmytro Kuleba’s declaration includes a 2002 Peugeot 206 CC coupe-cabriolet.
The other ministers did not declare any vehicles. Additionally, it’s worth noting that several positions in the government remain vacant.
