A rare 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo with only 8,461 km on the odometer, making it essentially a “time capsule,” has appeared at the Mecum Auctions. The car is preserved in exceptional condition both inside and out.

The coupe is equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine producing 231 hp and 325 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

This example has traveled just over 8,000 km since its production, which is an extremely rare figure for a model of this age. The interior shows virtually no signs of wear: the upholstery is finished in burgundy, including the door cards, dashboard, steering wheel, and center tunnel.
The car was purchased new in Canada on February 6, 1988. The photos suggest it may have spent a significant portion of its time in a showroom. It is also noted that the car still has its original factory tires, which will need replacement before driving.

The model retains its original engine and owner’s manual set. Distinctive features include a Targa-style removable roof and pop-up headlights, which were typical of sports cars of that era.

Despite its age, the technical specifications remain at a respectable level. The estimated value of the lot has not been disclosed, which underscores its collector appeal.
