The world’s only Lucid Air coupe, built for Shaquille O’Neal, has been listed at a salvage auction after an accident. The electric car was modified by California workshop West Coast Customs at the end of 2024, and its mileage is only 4,663 km. This is reported by Carscoops.

The base Lucid Air sedan received a two-door body and black wheels with closely spaced spokes. West Coast Customs also moved the front seats back to give the 216 cm tall basketball player more legroom.

The rear row remained in place. Therefore, the electric car retained its five-seat interior, although with Shaquille O’Neal as the driver, there could be four passenger seats.

The exact extent of the modifications is not disclosed. In particular, it is unknown whether the wheelbase was changed for the coupe. The Copart auction card only states that it is an all-wheel drive version of the Lucid Air.

The circumstances of the accident have not been disclosed, nor whether Shaquille O’Neal was behind the wheel. After the collision, the car sustained front-end damage. It is missing the front bumper and headlights, and the hood and one of the radiators are damaged.

Restoring the coupe will require replacing at least the hood, radiator, and lighting equipment. At the same time, the rear part of the Lucid Air, judging by the published photos, was not damaged.

The car is being sold as a damaged lot on Copart. It is not specified which particular modification of the Lucid Air served as the basis for this project.
