Few people know, but the South Korean brand Kia produces light tactical vehicles. Most of them are used by the local army, but Kia also offers civilian SUV options ‘for the people’, and recently at the IDEX exhibition in the Emirates (Abu Dhabi), the debut of the new ‘Korean Hummer’ took place.

The new model is named KLTV Cargo Truck and can accommodate up to 10 people (though, they will have to sit on benches), and the total load capacity is 3 (!) tons. The all-terrain vehicle is based on a modular platform, and the suspensions are independent. Under the hood, there is a 225 hp diesel engine paired with an 8-speed automatic. Additionally, there is air conditioning and the ability to adjust tire pressure from the cabin.

In 2021, Koreans intend to conduct final tests of the all-terrain vehicle, and most likely, by next year, such an SUV can be purchased in a passenger version. The price is currently unknown.
