The novelty is named the Hongguang Mini EV Special Edition and is a 6-wheeled compact pickup truck. And it’s electric too! Externally, it resembles a ‘Chernobyl SMART’ or a six-wheeled Gwagen ‘on a budget’…
The three-axle Hongguang Mini EV arrived on a truck at one of the Wuling dealerships and then drove onto the street, where it was caught by spy photographers.

As the publication ‘Chinese Cars’ noted, the electric pickup fully replicates the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV Special Edition concept car, presented at the Chengdu Auto Show in the summer of 2020: the models differ only in body color.

The equipment of the ‘road’ version of the pickup is unknown, but most likely, it received the same electric motor with a power of 27 horsepower (85 Nm of torque) and a battery with a capacity of 13.8 kilowatt-hours. On a single charge, the four-wheeled Hongguang Mini EV can travel up to 170 kilometers, but the pickup’s range should be lower due to the increased weight.
