Roush kit for $10,339 boosts Ford Dark Horse SC power to 810 hp

New supercharged Mustang from Roush: 810 horsepower without extra hassle

Roush has introduced its new supercharger kit for the 2026 Ford Mustang GT and Dark Horse. This solution allows you to achieve power approaching supercar levels without the need for drastic changes to the vehicle and without the huge costs required by the factory Dark Horse SC version.

The American tuning shop installs an Eaton supercharger operating at 13 psi. Thanks to this, the 5.0-liter V8 engine produces an impressive 810 horsepower and 854 Nm of torque. Importantly, installing this equipment does not require cutting, removing, or modifying any engine bay components.

Technical details and kit advantages

The kit includes the Eaton TVS R2650 supercharger, which works together with dual intercoolers, a front heat exchanger, and a high-performance Bosch pump to reduce intake air temperature. The original dual 80mm throttle bodies remain unchanged.

To support the supercharger’s operation, new high-flow fuel injectors, CNC-machined aluminum fuel rails, and new guide plates are installed. Spark plugs with a reduced gap are also replaced. The Roush kit has a slight power advantage over the factory Dark Horse SC (810 hp vs. 795 hp), although its torque is slightly lower (854 Nm vs. 895 Nm).

The best part about the Roush upgrades is that they require no modifications to the engine bay, and even the factory K-brace does not need to be removed, nor does the hood need to be modified to accommodate the supercharger. Additionally, the kit includes a limited powertrain warranty for 3 years or 36,000 miles and is legal in all 50 states.

Price and availability

The price of the supercharger kit is $10,339. While this is a significant amount, it allows you to get a 2026 Mustang GT with 810 hp for a starting price of $58,894. This is significantly cheaper than the factory Mustang Dark Horse SC, which starts at $108,485.

Thus, Roush offers an affordable way to get incredible power without losing the factory warranty and without complex technical work. This solution becomes an attractive alternative for those who want a true supercar but are not ready to pay twice as much for it. Considering the kit is certified for all US states, it could become a popular choice among enthusiasts who value the combination of performance and practicality.
