Iconic Ferrari F40 with 1,500 km Mileage Reaches a Price Tag of $5 Million (Photo)

At the RM Sotheby’s auction in Miami, a 1992 Ferrari F40 with a mileage of 1,418 km will be presented. The estimated value of the supercar reaches $5 million. This is reported by RM Sotheby’s.

The car will be put up for auction tonight, while in the USA it will still be February 27, 2026.

The example with chassis number 93892 belongs to the last F40s assembled in Maranello. The car was completed on May 28, 1992, and in April 1993, it was delivered to its first owner in Rome via the dealer Sa.Mo.Car. S.p.A.

The supercar was intended for the Italian market. Until 1999, it remained in Italy, after which it was exported to Sweden, where it stayed for about 20 years. In 2024, the car was transported to the USA.

The model has retained its original components: the chassis, engine, gearbox, and body correspond to the factory numbers. A high level of preservation is noted, including manufacturer markings and exposed carbon fiber elements.

The Ferrari F40 is equipped with a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 478 hp and 576 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The top speed exceeds 320 km/h.

The interior is finished in red Rosso Stoffa Vigogna. The car received the Cavallino Platinum Award at the 2025 Palm Beach Cavallino Classic. It was recently submitted for Ferrari Classiche certification via Ferrari of Naples.

The package includes service documentation, the original tool kit, spare belts, and the original Agip tire inflation kit. In total, approximately 1,315 examples of the Ferrari F40 were produced.
