The American division of Lexus has unveiled the RX crossover with a V8. The concept car was built in collaboration with customizer Gordon Ting.

Under the hood of the Lexus RX, they managed to fit the unfit – a 5-liter 477-horsepower V8 from the GS F model. This was done not without problems, as the engine is longitudinally positioned in the sedan, but transversely in the crossover.

The tuners had to sweat – cut part of the RX’s underbody, make new engine mounts, shorten the driveshaft, and widen the transmission tunnel. It is clear that there will be no production model, as the modifications are too radical.

Interestingly, the 8-speed automatic transmission remained original. The new Lexus RX with a V8 can be recognized by the body kit, widened wheel arches, 22-inch alloy wheels, and a carbon rear spoiler. However, the interior remained completely stock.
