Less than two weeks after announcing plans to stop importing cars from China, Lincoln is returning to this market and introducing the 2027 Corsair Hybrid. If the previous model was assembled in America, the new one, like the Nautilus, is produced in China.
New Front End and Updated Design
The refreshed crossover is easily recognizable, but it no longer has the former “whiskers” on the grille. The front end has been completely redesigned and now resembles the Nautilus: a wider and more attractive grille, slimmer headlights that smoothly flow into the hood, a new hood, and a lower air intake that seems to smile. There are also new 18-, 19-, and 20-inch wheels, a revised rear bumper, hidden exhaust, and updated taillights with the Lincoln script.

Interior for the US and China
Interestingly, the American version did not get the modern cabin available to Chinese buyers. In China, the Corsair has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a huge 27-inch panoramic display consisting of the infotainment system and a front passenger screen.
American customers will get a more familiar interior with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 13.2-inch infotainment display. The old steering wheel, old switches, and old dashboard remain. This is a bit disappointing and looks like cost-cutting. However, standard equipment includes dual-zone climate control and heated “soft” seats with ten power adjustments.
Options and Technical Specs
Available options include ventilated and heated front seats, heated steering wheel, universal garage door opener, rain sensors, head-up display, and a premium Revel audio system with 14 speakers.
The powertrain is a turbocharged 2.0-liter hybrid with 305 hp (227 kW / 309 PS). It works with a CVT, and all-wheel drive comes standard. The model also features BlueCruise 1.5, which allows hands-free driving and automatic lane changes.
Prices and Sales Launch
In the US, the new Corsair Hybrid will arrive early next year. The starting price is $46,495 before destination charges, which are now $2,295. For comparison, the 2026 model started at $40,735, with delivery costing $1,495. In other words, buyers will have to pay an extra $7,310 for a rather modest facelift.
What’s Behind This Reversal
The decision to introduce a Chinese-made model after announcing a withdrawal from Chinese imports seems unexpected. Apparently, the company quickly realized that Chinese-assembled crossovers, especially the Nautilus, are in demand, so it’s too early to give them up. Moreover, the hybrid transmission makes the Corsair more efficient and modern, while Chinese production helps keep costs down. The question is whether the updated model will justify the price increase in the eyes of Americans, especially given the outdated cabin in the base version. Perhaps Lincoln is betting on efficiency, power, and the BlueCruise system so customers won’t pay attention to the car’s origin.
