Jeremy Clarkson has once again chosen the best cars of the year. This time the host of The Grand Tour really surprised.
As before, Clarkson chose two cars – the supercar of the year and an inexpensive people’s car. In the first category, the best unexpectedly became the Eagle Lightweight GT – a modern version of the iconic Jaguar E-Type. Externally, it repeats the legendary model but got a more powerful 4.7-liter six-cylinder engine with 385 hp.
Among cheaper cars, the Mini John Cooper Works GP won (although a hot hatch for 45 thousand euros is not exactly cheap). The car is equipped with a 306-horsepower turbo engine from the BMW X2 M35i and accelerates to a hundred in 5.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 264 km/h. To reduce weight, the rear seats were removed from the cabin. By the way, only 3,000 of these cars will be produced.
