Merry Christmas: Hand-built sports car-SUV races with a tree off-road (video)

The British company Morgan demonstrated in a Christmas video the off-road capabilities of the new Plus Four CX-T sports car. It looks like a retro car from the last century on the outside, but that’s not entirely true. Yes, it is still hand-built and on a wooden frame, but it’s a new development from 2021. Moreover, it’s a sports car-SUV. Rear-wheel drive!

Morgan Plus Four CX-T debuted in the summer of 2021. The sports car received significantly upgraded suspension with transverse arms from the heavier Plus Six model, a widened track, and increased ground clearance from 120 mm to 230 mm.

On top of that, engineers applied reinforced protection to the lower part of the structure with separate elements for the power unit, as well as the front and rear suspension.

The sports car-SUV is equipped with a 2.0-liter BMW turbo four-cylinder engine delivering 258 hp, which operates with a 6-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. And now watch how it can churn through the mud…
