A genuine combat Zaporozhets will soon join the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Craftsmen from Mykolaiv are already preparing the car for military service.
This 1974 ZAZ-968A, nicknamed ‘Ataman’, is a tough nut. Before the full-scale invasion of the rashists, Mykolaiv residents Roman Burov and Vitaliy Pak undertook a road trip across Ukraine with it – covering 5000 km across 23 regions.

Now, Roman Burov is defending Ukraine as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and decided to take ‘Ataman’ with him. The Zaporozhets is designated as an ‘energy vehicle’ – a mobile station for charging radios, smartphones, tablets, and other devices.
The ZAZ-968A is now repainted in khaki and equipped with a camouflage net. Installing the charging equipment requires 50,000 hryvnias and these funds are currently being raised.
