June brings something more pleasing to the eye — a limited-edition laptop that combines decent, though not top-tier, hardware with design elements inspired by Ferrari. However, make no mistake: at its core, this is a branding exercise, and the $5,599 price tag leaves no doubt.
Design and Materials
Ferrari and HP have just unveiled the HP Limited Edition Scuderia Ferrari AI PC — a premium laptop that blends the distinctive style and colors of the Italian brand with HP’s latest AI-focused hardware. The collaboration is reported to have lasted nearly two years, with production limited to 4,999 units worldwide.
While automakers have previously put their logos on laptops, HP and Ferrari position this project as something more than just branding. Judging by the specs, this idea has some substance. But let’s start with the design.
The most obvious Ferrari element in the laptop is the Rosso Magma color — a deep metallic red shade from the automaker’s palette. The chassis combines carbon fiber and Gorilla Glass, with the cooling system visible through a glass bottom. Glass is also used on the palm rest and the tactile trackpad. The laptop features custom Ferrari startup graphics and RGB keyboard backlighting. HP states the device also comes with a leather case from Poltrona Frau, made from the same Italian leather used in Ferrari interiors.
The Ferrari passion runs deeper than just paint. The hinge borrows concentric louvers from the F76 digital hypercar, which are designed to direct airflow and reduce temperatures. Additionally, Ferrari’s “eyes on the road” philosophy is embodied in the trackpad, which nearly disappears when the lid is raised, its edges marked only by a thin line of backlighting beneath the keyboard.

Specifications and Price
Under the hood, the Ferrari style fades away, and it’s pure HP. The laptop is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor, 64 GB of RAM, Intel Arc graphics, and a claimed AI performance of 180 TOPS. A 14-inch 3K Tandem OLED touchscreen with a 120 Hz refresh rate handles the display, while the port selection includes Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, USB-C, USB-A, and a headphone jack.
Here is the part HP and Ferrari would rather you didn’t focus on. Configure the latest 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro chip, 64 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of storage, and you’ll pay around $3,149. The Scuderia Ferrari costs $5,599 for comparable, though not identical, internal components. That’s roughly $2,400 for the prancing horse, carbon fiber, and a numbered plaque, with no extra performance gains under the hood. Whether that math adds up depends on how badly you want the brand.
Sales will begin on June 12th on HP’s website in the United States and will also be available in Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Ferrari has put its badge on many things that were just ordinary products with a prancing horse. This option is better. But with a price of $5,599, you’ll have to come to terms with it.
This laptop is a vivid example of how luxury car brands are expanding their presence in the tech world by creating niche products for affluent enthusiasts. While the specifications are not revolutionary, the unique design, the use of premium materials like carbon fiber and Poltrona Frau leather, as well as the limited production run, make this device more of a collector’s item than a practical tool. For those who appreciate Ferrari’s aesthetic and are willing to pay for the brand, this could be a desirable gadget, but for the average user seeking maximum performance for their money, there are significantly more compelling alternatives.
