The new 2022 model year electric cars were tested under the EPA cycle, which is considered the most realistic. The best result was unexpectedly shown by the new Lucid Air – it drove 837 km without recharging and outstripped the previous leader Tesla Model S Long Range (652 km) by almost 200 km.

- Lucid Air – 837 km
- Tesla Model S Long Range – 652 km
- Tesla Model X Long Range – 600 km
- Tesla Model 3 Long Range – 568 km.
- Mercedes-Benz EQS – 563 km
Interesting detail: the declared range of Mercedes EQS is as much as 770 km according to the more lenient WLTP cycle. In real life, the performance of the electric car is not as impressive.
