Jaguar Introduces Special XFL Version for the Brand’s 90th Anniversary
British automaker Jaguar has released a limited series of the XFL sedan, dedicated to the company’s 90th anniversary. This version, known as the 90th Anniversary Collector’s Edition, is available exclusively on the Chinese market. It is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 250 or 300 hp and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The XFL is an extended version of the XF model, developed specifically for China. Its wheelbase is increased by 140 mm compared to the standard version. The car’s design, despite being first introduced in 2015, remains modern thanks to a black grille, darkened trim elements, and a contemporary interior with the Pivi Pro system.
Price and Features
The special 90th Anniversary Collector’s Edition version starts at a price of 269,800 yuan (approximately $37,500). A somewhat simpler Exclusive Deluxe trim is also available for 239,800 yuan ($33,400). For comparison, the standard XF in the US starts at $49,800, but its availability is limited due to Jaguar’s upcoming transition to electric vehicle production.
Jaguar’s future is tied to electric models, the first of which will debut in 2026. It will be built on the new Jaguar Electrical Architecture platform and will be able to travel up to 430 miles on a single charge.
While the company prepares for an electric revolution, the XFL remains one of the last new internal combustion engine (ICE) cars in the brand’s lineup. Its production is limited, making this model interesting for collectors and brand enthusiasts. The Chinese market, where demand for luxury sedans remains high, has become the ideal place for such a special edition.
