The prices of new cars in Russia continue to impress. The new Lada Vesta 2022 in top versions already costs over 40,000 dollars, and the Skoda Kodiaq is priced similarly to the Porsche Cayenne.
More precisely, the Czech crossover is priced at $80,000 (4.82 million rubles). It’s not a joke – this is the price for a Skoda Kodiaq listed at a Moscow car dealership.

However, this is not about the charged Kodiaq RS, but about the version with a 2.0-liter 150-horsepower turbodiesel in the basic Ambition configuration. Here, such a Skoda crossover is twice cheaper – it costs a little over 39,000 dollars.
And the new Skoda Karoq across the border is priced at 3.4 million rubles or $56,000. Its configuration is also not top – 1.4L turbo and front-wheel drive. Here, you can buy a Skoda Karoq in this version for 28,000 dollars.
The cheapest in the dealership turned out to be the Skoda Octavia with a 1.6-liter 110-horsepower engine – 46,300 dollars. In normal countries, for this money, you can buy a top hybrid Toyota Camry.
And this is not the first such case, previously TopGir already wrote that the new Kia Sportage 2022 in Russia is three times more expensive than in Ukraine. Dealers admit that cars are in shortage, there are only a few left in stock, and therefore they raise prices for them.
