New affordable Nissan electric car has already received 10,000 orders in China

The new Nissan N7 electric car has become popular in China

Despite financial difficulties and plant closures, Nissan has introduced a new electric car that is quickly gaining popularity. Unfortunately, it is only available in China, but the company can use this experience to develop future global models.

The Nissan N7, introduced at the end of last month, differs from other models of the brand not only in design but also in technology. It was developed in collaboration with a Chinese partner of the company. Within just 18 days since its presentation, over 10,000 orders have been received.

Approximately 30% of buyers are already Nissan car owners, while 70% are new customers of the brand.

Technical specifications and options

The base version of the N7 is equipped with a 58 kWh battery, providing a range of 510 km (317 miles) and a power output of 215 hp. The Pro and Max versions with the same battery but additional features are also available.

Models with the larger 73 kWh battery offer a range of up to 625 km (388 miles) and a power output of 268 hp. Most buyers opt for the top-tier Max versions.

Currently, Nissan does not plan to export the N7 outside of China, so markets in Europe and the US will not receive this model.

This success could serve as a signal for Nissan to reconsider its strategy in the global electric vehicle market. Demand for affordable and technologically advanced models remains high, especially in countries where the government actively supports the transition to electric transportation.
