by The company Ariel is known for its lightweight sports cars. However, in 2020 the British will present a completely different model – the Hipercar electric vehicle.
The new Ariel Hipercar will compete with the Tesla Roadster and Pininfarina Battista. The compact coupe is distinguished by its aggressive design with upward-opening doors.
The all-wheel-drive coupe will be equipped with four electric motors with a combined output of 1180 hp and 1800 Nm of torque. The Ariel Hipercar will be able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and to 160 km/h in 3.8 seconds. The maximum speed will be limited to 257 km/h, which is, of course, less than its competitors.
However, the carbon electric car will be lightweight and will offer excellent handling.
In addition, for everyday driving, the front motors can be turned off, reducing the power to 590 hp.
