The first information has appeared on the Internet about what the new Land Cruiser 2020 will look like and what technical changes the iconic next-generation Toyota SUV will receive.
According to Qingdao, the new model will feature a three-section grille, fully diode headlights and fog lamps, and the overall design will become even more monumental and slightly “squared off”.
The new Land Cruiser is expected to debut in the summer of 2020, and for the first time in the model’s history, it will be offered with a 3.5-liter bi-turbo V6 taken from the flagship 2018 Lexus LS sedan.
With such an engine, the Land Cruiser can develop 421 horsepower (600 Nm) and will be paired with a 10-speed “automatic” transmission.
The dimensions of the new-generation Land Cruiser 200 are known: length, width, and height will be 4950 × 1980 × 1920 mm, with a wheelbase of 2850 mm. Thus, the new Cruiser will retain its size and be only slightly reduced in height (by 35 mm).
The innovations include an expanded list of active and passive safety systems.
