Newly elected President of the USA Joe Biden promised to replace the White House’s vehicle fleet with electric cars. Importantly, these will be American-made. According to Reuters, this concerns not only vehicles but the procurement of American goods in general.

This is one of the first steps by Biden to fulfill his campaign promises. The Office of Management and Budget at the White House also plans to create a special position responsible for the procurement of American goods – agencies will have to justify their decisions to the White House.
