Prices Revealed for the Most Affordable Electric Crossover in Europe

The Romanian brand Dacia, owned by Renault, has published the price list for the new electric crossover Spring EV. Moreover, it is considered not only the most affordable electric crossover on the European market but also the cheapest electric car in the EU.

However, there’s a catch. It can be considered the cheapest in Europe if you take into account the cost of the Dacia Spring Electric, including subsidies. In this case, in France, for example, its price starts at 12,403 euros, which can be compared to the cost of a compact gasoline-powered Dacia Sandero hatchback.

Speaking of the characteristics of the Renault/Dacia Spring EV, there are a few important points. First: despite its low cost, the range of this ‘electric train’ is quite decent – 305 km (in Eco mode). Second: perhaps, this is one of the slowest cars of modern times – the 45-horsepower unit provides acceleration to 100 km/h in 19.1 seconds. For comparison – the ZAZ Slavuta can accelerate to a hundred in about 15 seconds. And the budget electric car’s top speed is far from ideal – just 125 km/h. Does it make sense? Maybe, but the price and a quite reasonable range will surely make the new Renault electric car one of the most popular on the market.

It should be noted that the Renault City K-ZE in Ukraine from China, which also belongs to crossovers and is equipped with an electric power unit, can often be found on sale recently.
