Toyota pickup detected with a mileage of 2.5 million kilometers

A very enduring 2007 Toyota Tacoma was found in the USA. Over 14 years, the Toyota pickup truck has traveled a record 1.52 million miles (2.45 million km).

For the owner Michael Neil, the Toyota Tacoma is a workhorse. He services MRI machines in hospitals in Virginia and North Carolina and covers 800 km per day. Hence the impressive mileage of the car.

Of course, the car does not look perfect, and signs of heavy use are visible – there are scratches and scuffs on the body. However, the interior is in decent condition.

In fact, not everything in the Toyota Tacoma is original. The engine had to be replaced, but only after 1.4 million km of mileage. And the automatic transmission even withstood 2 million km – a good result. By the way, the average fuel consumption of the pickup is quite moderate – 10-10.5 liters/100 km.

Michael Neil is already considering replacing the car. It is quite possible that the local Toyota dealer will offer to exchange the Tacoma for a new model of the Japanese brand at no extra charge, as the Toyota pickup with a record mileage could well become a museum exhibit.
