Porsche Cayenne Review – Why Wealthy Ukrainians Love It

Porsche Cayenne became the first crossover in the history of the company, and now the third generation of the model is being produced. The Cayenne looks aggressive, but after the 2014 facelift, the car began to resemble the more compact Macan SUV, and in its latest 2020 incarnation, it was also supplemented with a coupe version to compete with the BMW X6 and Mercedes GLE Coupe.

In the interior, stylish and expensive, a new steering wheel from the 918 Spyder hypercar appeared, and the trim materials became even higher quality. The range of engines offered for the Cayenne is wide, and their power may seem even excessive to many. For example, the Cayenne S with a 3.6 twin-turbo “six” produces 420 hp, allowing it to reach a speed of 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds.

The Cayenne Turbo version has a V8 producing 520 hp under the hood, resulting in an acceleration to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. The diesel versions, Cayenne Diesel and S Diesel, deliver 262 and 385 hp respectively (acceleration to “100” in 7.3 and 5.4 seconds). There is also a hybrid modification called the E-Hybrid: the electric motor produces 95 hp, and the total power of the power unit is 416 hp.

Formally, the car is five-seater, but due to the high central tunnel, it is truly comfortable for only four in the cabin. And this is top-level comfort: the leather is of the finest quality, the trim includes wood, metal, and carbon fiber, there is separate climate control and an advanced multimedia system.

Stylish, rich, and status. And also fast. With any of the engines, the Cayenne has impressive dynamics, and this crossover takes corners in a way that ordinary sedans cannot.

In terms of passenger protection, the Cayenne fully meets modern requirements. Five-star rating in EuroNCAP tests?

Of course! Moreover, this assessment has already been awarded to the facelifted version. The car’s equipment includes a full set of airbags (front, side, curtains) and a stabilization system? Mandatory! Various active safety systems are naturally available to order, monitoring the space around the car and signaling the appearance of danger.

The facelifted version for the first time appeared active shutters behind the radiator grille: being closed during a steady drive, they reduce fuel consumption and improve aerodynamics. Two more interesting innovations are already in the realm of comfort: these are ventilated rear seats and finally appearing door closers. However, both are options. And the LED headlights PDLS Plus work in tandem with navigation: based on its data, turn lighting sections are automatically activated.

In Porsche execution, even a crossover has a charismatic driving character.

The Cayenne still sets the tone in the small cohort of fast and truly exciting full-size SUVs. For this reason, this model is so popular with us, because you can comfortably ride on the highway, and it is not afraid of potholes, and thanks to the acceleration dynamics, you can fly over the Zaporizhzhia bridge
