The modern Mustang S650 is the last representative of a vanished breed. However, Ford deserves recognition for launching the seventh generation Mustang, which maintains faith in sports cars with a powerful V8. While the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger are already in the past, Ford remains the only mass producer of V8 vehicles. Although the ICE Dodge Charger will return for now – but with a straight-six turbo. The new Mustang, like its predecessor, starts with the EcoBoost model and rises to the V8-engine GT version, the powerful Dark Horse, and the motorsport-derived GTD flagship.
However, it is the GT that remains the true mainstay of the Mustang lineup, and it is this version we recently took for a spin. The main question is whether the new Mustang lives up to its iconic name? And does it continue to remain an attractive sports car, or has it exhausted its potential? The 2025 Mustang GT is built with a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 boasting 462 hp and 405 lb-ft (550 Nm) with an active exhaust manifold. It is paired with a six-speed Getrag transmission or a 10-speed automatic.
Drivers will be able to enjoy a quality thrust, allowing them to feel the true drive of a sports car.
