The attempt on Serhiy Shefir is the top news of the day. The National Police has already examined the crime scene in Lesnyky near Kyiv and showed photos of the Audi A8 of the first assistant to the President of Ukraine.

Judging by the photographs, at least 10 bullets from a Kalashnikov entered Shefir’s car. The official himself was not injured, but his driver was hospitalized with three wounds.

Bullets pierced the driver’s door of the Audi A8, meaning the car is not armored. Judging by the bullet holes in the hood and trunk lid, the shots came from an elevation and were fired in pursuit. However, the rear door is almost intact, as if intentionally trying not to hit it.

However, Serhiy Shefir himself believes that the target was precisely him, as he often drives the Audi himself without a driver. The President’s assistant was evacuated to a safe location and will now be provided with security. The police announced the “Siren” interception plan and are searching for the shooters.
