In the USA, several brand new Chevrolet Corvette C8 sports cars did not reach the dealership (their owners). The cars burned down on a car carrier during transportation.
The unfortunate incident occurred near Nashville, Tennessee – just 30 minutes away from the GM plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where the Corvettes were assembled. According to the published footage, the fire started in the cab of the tractor (the causes are still unknown), and then spread to the trailer with the covered sports cars.

The car carrier was transporting a total of ten Chevrolet sports cars. Four of them were damaged – the other six were in another part of the trailer, which managed to get detached.
First, the fire engulfed the Corvette mounted on the upper part of the flatbed, then spread to the sports car positioned at the back – both cars were reduced to charred shells. Then, the flames reached another, blue model – its front end was completely burnt out. Finally, the fourth Corvette, white in color (located on the lower tier), was crushed by part of the platform, which collapsed onto it due to high temperatures.

As for the driver, he remained safe and unharmed.
It is worth mentioning that the Chevrolet Corvette C8 is currently a scarce vehicle, with demand significantly exceeding supply (the factory simply cannot keep up with the constant stream of orders). In the USA, prices for the Chevrolet Corvette in coupe form start at $62,195, and the convertible version starts at $69,695.
