A fun video of the very first crash test of the Tesla Cybertruck pickup has surfaced online. The clip was posted on the Youtube channel Handmade. First Crash Test of the Tesla Cybertruck (video)

No, Elon Musk did not hand over one of his new electric vehicle prototypes for a crash test. The Tesla Cybertruck pickup was first virtually smashed in a computer game, and then a model of the car was made from clay and subjected to a crash test. By the way, the real crash tests of the Tesla Cybertruck may indeed encounter problems – at least in Europe.

Stefan Teller, a representative of the reputable German organization TÜV, stated that the pickup might not pass the EuroNCAP crash tests, which means it may not be allowed onto the EU market. The whole problem lies in the sturdy steel body – it poses a danger to pedestrians when hit, and it also doesn’t deform properly in a collision, failing to absorb impact energy.
