Official images of the Peugeot 9X8 have been presented. The first Peugeot supercar will be released as a limited series, and its racing version will participate in the WEC championship and the 24-hour Le Mans race next year.

Only the racing version has been unveiled so far. The production variant will be created for its eligibility in competitions – the new sports prototype championship regulations require a road version of the model.

The new Peugeot 9X8 features an aggressive design with slim headlights and lights resembling claw marks. Notably, the car lacks a traditional rear wing – the downforce is sufficient without it due to a new technology that Peugeot keeps secret.

The Peugeot supercar is equipped with all-wheel drive and a hybrid power unit, consisting of a 2.6-liter V6 twin-turbo and an electric motor. The total power output will be 680 hp.
