Mitsubishi has introduced a new special version of the Triton pickup, available exclusively in the Brazilian market. This model was created in collaboration with a local lifestyle brand and is aimed at off-road adventure enthusiasts. Unlike the Triton Terra version, which was presented earlier this year and featured chrome details for agribusiness, the BF///MS has a dark and rugged design. The model’s name, although reminiscent of an amplifier designation, actually stands for Big Foot and Mato Grosso do Sul — the state where this partnership originated.

Design and exterior
Visually, the pickup stands out with its main color Baroque Brown, combined with black Onyx Pearl Black for the lower body. The radiator grille and mirror caps remain black, while the front Dynamic Shield and fender flares are painted in the body color.
The 20-inch wheels feature a dark diamond finish and are equipped with Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac off-road tires. The exterior also includes electric side steps, a soft tonneau cover, a storage box in the bed, a 12-volt outlet, and a tow hitch. BF///MS badges are placed on the doors and tailgate.

Interior and features
Inside, brown and black leather with orange stitching is used. The BF///MS logo appears on the dashboard, is embroidered on the seats, and is projected by the door lighting. The special version is based on the top Triton Katana trim, so equipment is quite generous: a 9-inch multimedia system, navigation, 360-degree camera, premium JBL audio system, dual-zone climate control, rubber floor mats, seven airbags, and an ADAS suite.
Technical specifications
Under the hood, nothing has changed: the 2.4-liter diesel engine with twin turbocharging produces the same 202 hp (151 kW / 205 hp) and 470 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission and the flagship Super Select II 4WD system with rear differential lock and seven driving modes.

Price and availability
The Mitsubishi Triton BF///MS is offered in Brazil on order with no fixed production limit. The special version costs 359,990 Brazilian reals ($71,200), but is currently offered with a discount to 339,990 reals ($67,200) as part of a promotion. This makes it cheaper than the limited Triton Terra version, which cost 364,990 reals ($71,200).
Mitsubishi’s approach to creating special versions for specific markets demonstrates the company’s flexibility in adapting products to local preferences. The BF///MS version, focused on off-road style and collaboration with local brands, could be a successful marketing move, especially in regions where active recreation is popular. At the same time, the lack of technical changes and the high price may limit its appeal to a broader audience, leaving it a niche product for enthusiasts.
