The 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, which was featured in the series “Servant of the People,” has been put up for auction. Its starting price is $7,500, and the proceeds will go towards purchasing a new vehicle for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This is the very Chevrolet pickup on which Holoborodko traveled with his colorful bodyguard. Let’s recall that this series was released on screens back in the distant and peaceful year of 2016. At that time, the phrase “Ze” and pickups didn’t evoke any negativity, and the film itself (especially at the beginning) seemed like a flight of fantasy…
Over the years, much has changed, but ironically (no words about the eponymous film!) pickups have become a symbol of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and everyone has forgotten about “Ze” and doesn’t want to remember. Because what seemed like an unremarkable abbreviation now is not associated with the beginning of our President’s name.

So, in short – the Holoborodko pickup, played by Zelensky, now doesn’t look as bright and fun as in the movie. Ultimately, much like Volodymyr Zelensky himself. If the latter has gotten gray hair, then the once red Chevrolet pickup has a new image. It has been sold multiple times, often for a very reasonable amount, but the fate of this vehicle has been complicated.

The Chevrolet Silverado is no longer red, but khaki-colored, as it serves on the front line. The vehicle was put up for auction to raise funds to replace it with more suitable transport for wartime conditions.
The pickup is equipped with a 4.3-liter 190-horsepower V6 and a 4-speed automatic transmission. The package includes a leather interior, climate control, a rearview camera, and Pioneer multimedia.
