Unfinished BMW on the Road: Driver Stopped for Dangerous Driving
Police in a Melbourne suburb noticed an unusual car – a burgundy BMW E36 sedan without a hood. During the inspection, it turned out that the car was also missing seats. Instead, the driver was using a garden chair, which was not secured.
The driver explained that he was going for spare parts, but this does not justify the safety violations.
Serious Safety Violations
The absence of a hood is already a violation, but the main problem was the dangerous “tuning” with the seat. Even a minor impact could have led to injuries, as the chair was not fixed. The police immediately prohibited any further use of the vehicle.
This case is a reminder that unfinished cars should not appear on public roads. The BMW E36, despite its popularity among car enthusiasts, requires proper equipment before driving. The driver will now await a court notice regarding fines.
