Suzuki Jimny Gozel off-road concept receives approval for series production

Suzuki has officially approved the production of a new off-road package for the Jimny, called the Gozel Outdoor Concept. This decision was made after a successful demonstration of the concept at the Jimny Owners Festival in Japan.

What has changed in the design

The main changes are focused on the front of the vehicle. The new package includes an aluminum insert in the bumper, a more pronounced skid plate with red accents, a honeycomb grille with the Suzuki logo, red mud flaps, metal side sill protectors and a rear bumper protector, as well as a special cover for the spare tire.

Availability and prices

All of these elements are part of the Suzuki Select Plus accessory line. The package is available for both the three-door Sierra version and the five-door Nomade. The only exception is the narrow kei-class Jimny version.

Prices for individual parts range from ¥33,000 ($200) to ¥66,000 ($400), excluding installation costs. A full set of five items will cost ¥269,500 ($1,658) for the Sierra and ¥275,000 ($1,692) for the Nomade, due to the difference in side sill sizes. Orders will be accepted at Japanese dealerships starting July 24.

Other customization options

In addition to the Gozel package by AWIN, Japanese buyers have a wide selection of other Jimny customization options. For the Nomade model, the Craggy Style, Rhino Style, Urban Edge Style, Nostalgic Line Style, and Metal Style packages are available.

Suzuki’s decision to launch this accessory package shows that the company is carefully listening to its customers’ wishes. Although the fourth-generation Jimny debuted eight years ago, it remains extremely popular among off-road enthusiasts. The production of factory accessories allows owners to legally and safely upgrade their vehicles while maintaining the warranty. This also demonstrates that even at an age when many models are already preparing for a generational change, the Jimny continues to receive support from the manufacturer, which is rare in the modern automotive market. It is worth noting that the price of the full Gozel set is relatively moderate, making it an affordable option for those who want to give their off-roader a more aggressive look without significant expense.
