The incredible car was described by David Clark, who previously headed the division for producing McLaren’s road models. At one time, he drove this car and was amazed by its abilities. The BMW M5 E34 wagon was equipped with a 6.1-liter V12 for testing – while the McLaren F1 prototypes were not ready. Remember, this engine develops 627 hp and has a torque of 650 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

So, this car was very hot! After the tests, the Germans took the car back. Most likely, it is now gathering dust somewhere in a BMW warehouse among other similar prototypes.
