by The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series has appeared on the Ukrainian market for the first time. The new convertible was spotted at the capital’s Mercedes-Benz dealership, where it became one of the most expensive cars in the brand’s model lineup. The base price of the model in Ukraine is EUR 318 thousand, or approximately UAH 13.9 million. The Mercedes-Benz dealership on Stolychny writes about this.
The model opens a new chapter in the history of Maybach, as it is the brand’s first production roadster in almost 90 years of its existence. The car is based on the Mercedes-AMG SL 63, but its technology and equipment have been significantly adapted to the requirements of the premium division.
Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 received separate settings and an exclusive design
Despite its kinship with the AMG version, the new Maybach is focused not on a sporty driving style, but on maximum comfort. Engineers changed the characteristics of the air suspension, enhanced the body’s sound insulation, and revised the chassis settings for a smoother ride.
Externally, the model is easily recognizable by its original Maybach radiator grille with vertical slats, an abundance of chrome elements, unique 21-inch wheels, and an active rear spoiler that automatically extends depending on speed.
The interior is designed in a two-seat configuration. Nappa leather, decorative wood inserts, and premium-grade materials typical of Maybach flagship models are used for the upholstery.
The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 is equipped with a 585-hp V8
Under the hood of the convertible is a 4.0-liter V8 gasoline engine with two turbochargers. Its power is 585 hp, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds.
The maximum speed is electronically limited to 260 km/h.
The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series has become the new flagship of the SL family and the first open-top Maybach model of the modern generation. With the arrival of this car, the Ukrainian market has been replenished with one of the most expensive production convertibles officially presented in the brand’s dealer network.
