by In May, the car market in Ukraine began to gradually revive after the quarantine. According to the association ‘Ukrautoprom’, about 6000 new cars were sold last month – almost twice as many as in April. After all, the opening of the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centers did its job. 
However, compared to May 2019, there was a 15% decline. Sales fell for most of the market leaders.
Toyota ranked first with 1026 cars sold (sales down 17%), and Renault took second place (856 cars, -12%). Kia is in third position (671 cars, +51%). The top five also included Skoda (289 cars, -9%) and Mercedes-Benz (270 units, +71%). The most popular car in Ukraine in May was the Kia Sportage, chosen by 594 Ukrainians. In total, 30 thousand new cars have been sold since the beginning of the year, which is 7% less than the previous year.
