A rare SSC Ultimate Aero TT hypercar from 2010 is up for sale in the USA. Not everyone knows about it, but at one time it was considered the fastest production car in the world.
The SSC Ultimate Aero TT set a world speed record in 2007: the coupe accelerated to 412.28 km/h and surpassed the Bugatti Veyron’s achievement. For three years, the car held the title of the fastest until the new Bugatti Veyron Super Sport accelerated to 431 km/h.
The wedge-shaped coupe is equipped with a 6.3-liter V8 from the racing Chevrolet Corvette C-5R. A pair of turbines increased its power to 1305 hp, and the maximum torque to 1500 N·m.
The SSC Ultimate Aero TT is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, lacking both traction control and even ABS. Thanks to the carbon body, the car weighs only 1293 kg.
Surprisingly, such a high-speed and rare car with a mileage of 2250 km is not very expensive. The price of the SSC Ultimate Aero TT is $225,000, which is at the level of a not-too-expensive version of a Bentley Bentayga. For comparison, the same Bugatti Veyron still costs no less than a million dollars.
