by The Ukrainian presentation of Kia Stinger 2018 took place. The model is significant for the Korean brand, as it is its new flagship. The vehicle was developed under the leadership of Albert Biermann – the former head of BMW Motorsport.
The new Kia Stinger is positioned as a high-speed and comfortable grand tourer. The fastback, with a length of 4830 mm, features an elongated profile with a long hood and short front overhang, and a spoiler is integrated into its ‘rear end’.
The interior also features traditional Gran Turismo characteristics. The center console is oriented towards the driver, and the sporty front seats are separated by a high tunnel.
As we have mentioned, the Kia Stinger in Ukraine is offered in three versions – with a 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with rear or all-wheel drive, and also with a 3.3-liter V6 with all-wheel drive. Regardless of the engine, the fastback is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The 2018 Kia Stinger comes with a rather rich package, as it already includes a head-up display, electric seat, steering column, and trunk lid, front seat ventilation, parking autopilot, 7 airbags, and a lane-keeping system.
Moreover, the Stinger is the fastest model in Kia’s history. The top version with a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 producing 370 hp accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and can reach 270 km/h. A 2.0-liter 247 hp variant is also available, accelerating to 100 in 6 seconds.
In its most powerful version, the Kia Stinger is offered with adaptive dampers and a steering effort adjustment system. Greetings from the former head of the BMW M division! He led the development of the Stinger, and we never tire of repeating it.
All Kia Stingers in Ukraine are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the 370 hp variant is all-wheel drive by default and fitted with adaptive dampers.
The price for the Kia Stinger in Ukraine starts at 1,337,730 hryvnias. The top 3.3-liter modification will cost 1,752,164 hryvnias.
