by The German Mercedes tuner presented its version of an exclusive SUV for oligarchs and deputies. The charged flagship crossover based on the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 is named the Brabus 800, where the number (by longstanding tradition) indicates the number of horses in the “harness”.
Recall, the “ordinary” Maybach GLS 600 develops 557 hp. That is, Brabus boosted it by 243 hp. As a result, acceleration to one hundred was reduced from 4.9 seconds to 4 and a half. The maximum speed is 300 km/h!
Not bad for such a mastodon, but in fairness, it should be noted that the factory Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 turns out to be even faster than the Brabus 800. Despite having fewer horses (612 against 800), the AMG SUV accelerates to the first hundred in 4.2 seconds.
In addition to the upgraded engine, the Brabus crossover Maybach received a lowered suspension (-25 mm), exclusive 24-inch wheels (just “right” for our roads) Brabus Monoblock M Platinum Edition, modified brakes, and a branded exhaust.
Inside, there is a hand-sewn interior with Leonis Orange leather, a bit of carbon, and various stylistic overlays (so the owner doesn’t forget that they have a Brabus, not an “ordinary” Maybach). In essence, that’s all. And more is not needed since by default the Maybach GLS 600 equips with seat massage, a Burmester audio system, and much more.
When can you buy it and for how much? According to unofficial information, the price of a Maybach GLS Brabus will be around 400-500 thousand euros.
