In Azerbaijan, the LuAZ-969 of 1986 was seriously modified. A master from Baku, Ali Gadzhiev, turned the Ukrainian off-roader into a powerful amphibian.
The body of the LuAZ has been redesigned, and the bottom is completely sealed. The vehicle became a two-seater, and the front part was shortened. There are diode headlights and off-road tires.
Moreover, the off-roader has become mid-engined. A 2.9-liter engine from a Toyota Crown is now in place of the rear seats, and the 4-speed automatic transmission was also taken from it.
A power steering booster is also installed, and the gears are taken from a Niva. The LuAZ moves over water using a water jet.
