Many of us have seen in movies the vans that outwardly are not remarkable, but inside are packed with equipment for surveillance and espionage. One of these U.S. special services minivans was recently sold at auction for a meager $2,392.The vehicle in question is a 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager with a 3.3-liter engine and a mileage of 100,000 miles, which on the inside resembles a complete laboratory. In part, it is – here you have everything for surveillance and wiretapping. Namely: video cameras, monitors, periscopes, sound recording devices, and other equipment for remote espionage.
Perhaps the only thing that gives away the ‘secrecy’ of the vehicle is the orange beacon light.
As for the equipment itself, it’s hardly useful, as today it is more of a rarity than a real tool for detectives.
