Yesterday, on November 10, the 180-day period allocated for simplified customs clearance and taxation of cars with European registration plates ended. According to the data of the State Customs Service, from June 15 to November 10, more than 85 thousand cars received Ukrainian plates.
The peak of car clearance in Ukraine occurred in the last decade of this period. Almost 3 billion hryvnias were paid into the State Budget. The leading regions in the number of cleared euroslags were also identified:
- Zakarpattia Customs – 15148 cars
- Kyiv Customs – 10752 pcs.
- Odesa Customs – 9999 pcs.
- Ivano-Frankivsk Customs – 5830 pcs.
- Chernivtsi Customs – 5506 pcs.

The customs remind that combatants who were directly in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area for more than 90 days from the date of adoption of the laws (from May 15, 2021), can avail benefits until February 08, 2022, inclusive.
Other owners of cars with European registration plates face serious penalties. Recall that the fine for an uncleared car in Ukraine can reach 170 thousand hryvnias, and the car itself may be confiscated.
