by From April 13 to 28, Ukrainians were able to clear 29,195 vehicles without duty. This statistic is provided by the member of parliament Aliona Shkrum.
Contrary to speculation, there were few premium-class expensive cars among them — most are in the budget segment.
What cars are cleared without duty in Ukraine:
- Cars costing up to 100,000 hryvnias – 16,793 units.
- From 100,000 to 500,000 hryvnias – 11,406 units.
- From 500,000 to 1 million hryvnias – 760 units.
- From 1 to 2 million hryvnias – 196 units.
- Over 2 million hryvnias – 40 units.
Therefore, only a couple of hundred relatively expensive cars were imported. The member of parliament also learned about the most expensive cars cleared without duty. The leader is a Mercedes-Benz for 8.5 million hryvnias. In general, this brand is the most in demand in the premium segment.
More than 3,000 cars are processed daily, and this number is growing. Ukrainians are likely hurrying since free clearance has already been restricted and could be completely abolished soon.
