The novelty is named T.33, and its main ideologist is Gordon Murray, the very author of McLaren F1. Today he showcased the latest supercar, which was not only created in the spirit of the British legend of the 90s but also draws inspiration from the most famous models of the 60s of the last century.
It must be said that T.33 from Gordon Murray Automotive turned out to be quite restrained but recognizable. It features traits of ‘old-school’ supercars, which at the same time perfectly combine with modern trends.

The construction uses a monocoque made of carbon fiber with carbon panels. The car is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.9-liter V12 Cosworth, but it has been retuned. The maximum revs have been reduced from 12,100 to 11,100 per minute (which is still incredibly high for a road car). Power has been reduced from 663 to 615 hp, while the torque remains the same — 451 Nm. GMA claims that 75% of thrust is available at just 2500 rpm.

The car uses a 6-speed Xtrac ‘manual’ as standard, with an optional automated Instantaneous Gearchange System with paddle shifters. The coupe is fitted with 19-inch Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires at the front and 20-inch ones at the rear.

Murray isn’t afraid to compare his new creation with the legendary McLaren F1: “The engine is better, the gearbox is better. It is lighter and has a slightly better power-to-weight ratio. The assembly and quality are much better”.

The exact specifications have not been disclosed, but the creator has his own perspective on this: “I really don’t care whether the car accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.9 or 3.1 seconds, whether it reaches 338 or 346 km/h. Our clients don’t care either. We are not chasing sales and never will. The beauty of simplicity is the key to our cars”.

The GMA T.33 will be produced in a limited edition of only 100 units. The price in the UK is £1.37 million. Shipments to customers are scheduled to start in 2024.
