However, for one technician at a GM dealership, this turned out to be not enough, and he purchased this unassuming 2024 Corvette Z06, which is now waiting for a new owner.

Before the arrival of the ZR1 and the even more powerful ZR1X, the Z06 was the most enthusiast-oriented version of the C8 model. It replaced the base 490-horsepower LT4 V8 engine with a flat-plane crank LT6, which produces 670 horsepower and revs up to 8,600 rpm. The base Corvette might look like a supercar, but the Z06 backed up that look with engineering substance.
Seller’s Experience
This Z06 is for sale on Cars & Bids, where the seller shares that he has 19 years of experience as a technician at GM dealerships and claims to have owned several Corvettes from all eight generations of the model. This means he has had over 20 such cars, which explains why he is selling this specimen after only 2,400 miles.
Price Drop
You have probably already heard that Z06 prices have dropped sharply this year. When the model first appeared, used specimens often sold above the recommended price, but now they cost less. If the owner of this car doesn’t sell it soon, he could face significant financial losses. According to the price tag, the cost of the 3LZ Z06 trim was $133,935, including additional options such as the front lift system and designer wheels, but bids at the auction are unlikely to reach that mark.
Dealership employees are not considered GM employees, furthermore, employee discounts were never applicable to the Z06.
Value Proposition
The time of the Z06 as the best version of the C8 may have passed, but for $120,000 for a new car it still offers great value, and used models become even more advantageous as their prices fall below six figures.
