TOM’s Racing has released a sporty Land Cruiser Prado, which unfortunately won’t make it to us

The updated SUV features redesigned bumpers and extended wheel arches.

A set of updated 20-inch wheels with new tires has also been installed.

TOM’s Racing is known for its projects to enhance and modernize the best sports cars, but it also doesn’t shy away from working with crossovers and SUVs. Its latest project focuses on improving the current Prado, turning it into an impressive Urban Off-Roader.

Although the Prado has high off-road capabilities, most of them will spend their days on asphalt rather than off-road, so TOM’s Racing has added a new front bumper that likely compromises the 4×4 approach angle, but no one seems to mind.

This new bumper protrudes slightly lower than the standard one and makes the front of the Land Cruiser more striking. The Japanese tuner has also added new side steps, complemented by extended front and rear wheel arches filled with wide aftermarket 20-inch wheels and tires.

Along with the body updates, a stainless steel exhaust system is available. Customers can also add performance-oriented brakes, several TOM’s Racing emblems, and floor mats. Most parts are available for all Land Cruiser versions, but unfortunately, the likelihood of them being sold anywhere outside Japan is extremely low.

However, there are other accessories for the Prado from other manufacturers, including Modellista. Their 4×4 version is slightly more restrained than TOM’s Racing’s, offering an updated protective front bumper, a rear bumper garnish, extended fenders, side moldings, a rear bumper protective step, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a distinctive roof spoiler.
