However, all cars imported to our country must undergo this procedure. TopGir found out which unusual cars were brought to us and legalized after certification.
To start, a few words about what car certification in Ukraine is. Without delving into details, it is a mandatory inspection of a vehicle for compliance with the requirements and standards of current Ukrainian legislation. You must undergo this procedure before registering a car at the service center. Without a certificate of conformity, the car will not be registered, and a registration certificate (technical passport) and license plates will not be issued.
This document is needed to determine the country of origin, confirm the vehicle’s compliance with Euro environmental standards, and confirm that the vehicle can be safely operated on public roads based on its technical and environmental characteristics. That is why all cars brought to Ukraine from the USA, Canada, Europe, Georgia, China, and Korea are subject to mandatory certification.

Rivian R1T
The latest and ultra-fast electric pickup Rivian came to us quite recently. Just yesterday, Rivian R1T was spotted in Ukraine for the first time. According to the company Avtobotanik, which conducts car certifications, this is truly the first instance of this model, which costs up to 100,000 dollars.
McLaren 570
It might seem, who needs a British supercar in times of war? But no, fortunately, our people have a taste for automotive exclusives and even in difficult times bring in very expensive cars. And this McLaren 570 is proof of that. In Ukraine, such a supercar costs about 150-200 thousand dollars.
Suzuki Jimny in G-Wagon Outfit
How did a Suzuki Jimny end up on this list? It’s very simple. If it weren’t for the tuning, we would never include it in the list of exclusive cars, but this particular instance is a real masterpiece. Unfortunately, little information is available about it, but as per Telegram channel https://t.me/avtobotanik_UA, this mini-G-Wagon arrived in Ukraine already in this form and thus underwent certification.
Dodge RAM 1500 TRX
This is a true monster in the pickup segment. Despite its impressive size, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 and a half seconds! All thanks to an engine with more than 700 horsepower. Moreover, the RAM TRX has a special suspension and is essentially a “truck” for the reckless. Hence the price – one hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
Chinese Electric Cars
There was supposed to be another model here, but we decided otherwise. The fact is that in 2022, the most common cars undergoing certification became… Chinese electric cars. Well, so to speak Chinese… the brands are different (Volkswagen, Honda, BYD, Dongfeng), but all are made in China. As for the most popular, according to Avtobotanic, in 2022, the bestseller was the Volkswagen ID.4.
