Tucson 2027 Abandons Curved Forms

New Generation Hyundai Tucson: What is Known

The next generation of the Hyundai Tucson has been spotted during testing in Europe. The camouflage does not hide that the compact crossover will get a more squared-off design, similar to the new Santa Fe. The front of the car looks more massive, with a vertical radiator grille and a hood that wraps around the fenders.

According to reports from Korean media, the updated Tucson will debut in the third quarter of 2026. Among the main changes are sharp body lines, straight door cutouts, and a less pronounced rise in the roofline. The rear is likely to retain the sloping profile characteristic of crossovers.

Technical Updates

The manufacturer will focus on hybrid versions, particularly plug-in models, which will be able to travel up to 100 km on electric power. Diesel engines will likely be phased out, especially in the European market.

Among the technological innovations, improved driver assistance systems are expected, including a hands-free mode. The Tucson will also have an updated multimedia system with the Gleo artificial intelligence for improved interaction with the driver.

Although Hyundai is still keeping some details secret, the new Tucson already looks like a serious contender for leadership in its class. Changes in design and technology could make it even more attractive to buyers looking for a modern and eco-friendly option. The capabilities of the hybrid version are particularly impressive – 100 km on a single charge for city driving could be a significant argument in favor of this model.
