Rare Rolls-Royce convertible from Ukraine sold at auction in France (photo)

In Paris, at the Bonhams auction, a unique Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III Drophead Coupe from 1966 was sold. The car was brought to France from Ukraine. A total of either 42 or 52 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III Drophead Coupes were produced with a cabriolet body by the H.J. Mulliner Park Ward atelier. The car’s design turned out to be quite extravagant. Particularly striking are the rear fins in American style and atypical headlights, for which the car received the nickname Chinese Eye. The Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III convertible is equipped with a 220-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine and a 3-speed automatic transmission. Its interior is adorned with leather and wood, and also features air conditioning. TopGir has repeatedly written about this car. It is known that it was restored in the USA, and in 2004 it was bought at an auction in France and brought to Ukraine. The car very rarely left the garage – in 18 years it covered only 500 km. Once, the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III was seen at a retro show in Kyiv, and then unsuccessfully attempted to be sold.
